Maritime economy

National Masterplan Maritime Technologies

The Coordinator of the Federal Government for the Maritime Economy, Norbert Brackmann, gave the starting signal for the new National Master Plan Maritime Technologies (NMMT) on November 1st, 2018 in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology as part of the conference "Maritime Future Markets and Innovation".

The new master plan will provide policy and industry recommendations that have the character of guardrails and landmarks. It was conceived together with the participating federal ministries, the federal states and maritime associations.

Maritime Forschungsstrategie 2025

The Federal Government's Maritime Research Strategy is an integral part of industrial policy action and serves to safeguard existing maritime business areas and open up new business areas.
Based on this background, the Maritime Research Strategy 2025 will be strengthened by two new funding instruments: the "Maritime Research Program" and the research title "Real-Time Technologies for Maritime Security".
